Series: World of Many Peoples (WOMP) #2 - #22

Each piece in World of Many Peoples (WOMP) uses the same seven, and only the same seven, colors. Each color is mixed by formula with tolerances of 0.1 gram. The idea for the series came from a phrase used in my church's liturgy--we live in a world of many peoples--and thinking about why the same things (people, objects, emotions) are seen very differently in different contexts. Similarly, the series celebrates color, and how the same colors seem to widely vary in appearance depending on context (placement, mass, theme).

Paintings of similar sizes, attitude, and technique form groups. Typically, there are 3 or more paintings in each grouping. My intent is to complete 100 works in the series before calling it complete. Painting #1 is reserved as the final painting, which will pull-together all the learnings from the series as a whole.
